Golden Hill Steiner School Scholarship applications for 2025 are now open to all current and future students entering Class 7 – 9 (Students born in 2010- 2012).
Golden Hill is an independent Steiner school, guided and supported by Steiner Education Australia (SEA). GHSS expanded to a high school in 2023 with our first group of Year 7 students, followed by Class 8 in 2024. We will welcome Class 9 in 2025 and Class 10 in 2026.
In this time of global change and uncertainty, many are recognising the need for education to emphasise critical and creative thinking, social skills and problem solving - delivering a deep sense of purpose, connectivity and agency to enact change. These are the hallmarks of Steiner schooling, as well as a modern and wholesome 21st century education. In addition, Steiner graduates have all the attributes of a warm, empathetic and engaged human being, able to unfold to their highest potential.
A Steiner education program is framed and delivered in a manner that supports the physical and emotional health of our students, ensuring that relationships and student wellbeing are at the core of all that we do. Steiner schools prepare the young person academically for a successful career, while nurturing growth to build and lead a meaningful life of character and contribution.
Research data from a comprehensive research project on Australian Steiner schools showed that alumni results were very positive. 89% of alumni agreed that what they learnt was highly appropriate to later life; 95% agreed that attending a Steiner school has been an asset to their life and 94% would recommend a Steiner School education (SEA, 2020). It comes as no surprise then that Steiner education is the fastest-growing independent school movement in the world, representing the largest number of non-denominational, independent schools in Australia.
At Golden Hill we believe in the power of Steiner education to change lives. By offering high school scholarships, GHSS hopes to make Steiner education more accessible across our regional community, giving more students the opportunity to benefit from this unique education. The scholarships provide a subsidy of 75% percent of tuition fees for eligible students for the duration of their high school enrolment at GHSS. For further information or to apply, please download the application form below. Applications close 19/09/2024.
